How do I change the fields that are sent to Google Big Query or another database from windsor.ai cloud database destination?

If you want to change the fields that are sent to Google Big Query you can follow these steps:

  1. Copy the url from the destination.

In this case it looks like this: https://charts.windsor.ai/w/explore_json/?results=true&form_data=%7B%22datasource%22%3A%224752__table%22%2C%22viz_type%22%3A%22table%22%2C%22slice_id%22%3A29271%2C%22url_params%22%3A%7B%7D%2C%22time_range_endpoints%22%3A%5B%22inclusive%22%2C%22exclusive%22%5D%2C%22granularity_sqla%22%3A%22adjusted_purchase_date%22%2C%22time_grain_sqla%22%3A%22PT1H%22%2C%22time_range%22%3A%22No+filter%22%2C%22query_mode%22%3A%22aggregate%22%2C%22groupby%22%3A%5B%22sku%22%2C%22adjusted_purchase_date%22%2C%22currency%22%2C%22order_status%22%2C%22date%22%2C%22purchase_date%22%5D%2C%22metrics%22%3A%5B%7B%22expressionType%22%3A%22SQL%22%2C%22sqlExpression%22%3A%22SUM%28quantity%3A%3ADECIMAL%29%22%2C%22column%22%3Anull%2C%22aggregate%22%3Anull%2C%22isNew%22%3Afalse%2C%22hasCustomLabel%22%3Atrue%2C%22label%22%3A%22Quantity%22%2C%22optionName%22%3A%22metric_psxafm4eey_4sslnw0oy88%22%7D%2C%7B%22expressionType%22%3A%22SQL%22%2C%22sqlExpression%22%3A%22AVG%28item_tax%3A%3ADECIMAL%29%22%2C%22column%22%3Anull%2C%22aggregate%22%3Anull%2C%22isNew%22%3Afalse%2C%22hasCustomLabel%22%3Atrue%2C%22label%22%3A%22item_tax%22%2C%22optionName%22%3A%22metric_uc46uqp34mb_e7lwfi72sx9%22%7D%2C%7B%22expressionType%22%3A%22SQL%22%2C%22sqlExpression%22%3A%22AVG%28item_price%3A%3ADECIMAL%29%22%2C%22column%22%3Anull%2C%22aggregate%22%3Anull%2C%22isNew%22%3Afalse%2C%22hasCustomLabel%22%3Atrue%2C%22label%22%3A%22item_price%22%2C%22optionName%22%3A%22metric_23dnupopuf_187qgewmn66%22%7D%5D%2C%22all_columns%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22percent_metrics%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22order_by_cols%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22row_limit%22%3A%22500000%22%2C%22include_time%22%3Afalse%2C%22order_desc%22%3Atrue%2C%22adhoc_filters%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22table_timestamp_format%22%3A%22smart_date%22%2C%22page_length%22%3A20%2C%22color_pn%22%3Atrue%2C%22show_cell_bars%22%3Atrue%7D&api_key=API_KEY&fields=date

I remove the api_key from the above URL for security.

  1. In a text editor remove "json" from the url

2021-06-09_21-18.png

  1. Then go to this url and you will see the chart.

  2. Add the columns and metrics you want and then copy the JSON URL 2021-06-09_21-21.png

  3. Add this new JSON url as URL in the onboard form.

  4. Enter a new big query table name or delete the old one manually from Big Query as columns cannot be added to old tables.

  5. Then press save
